FKEC FREE ANNUAL MEETING & PICNIC APRIL 21
Florida Keys Electric Cooperative will hold its 71th Annual
Meeting and Picnic on Saturday, April 21, at Coral Shores High School.
Registration opens at 11 a.m. The electric cooperative will
provide free registration gifts and free lunch for registered members. Prior to
the meeting, FKEC will provide free musical entertainment by Micah Gardner in
the courtyard, along with face painting, interactive booths and free exhibits
created by FKEC’s departments with employees on hand to answer member
questions.
FKEC’s meeting commences at 1 p.m. with introductions from
David Ritz, president of the Board of Directors. This year the meeting will
also include words from keynote speaker Ileana Ros-Lehtinen
The meeting will be followed by FKEC’s annual free prize
raffle for home electronics and small appliances in the auditorium.
Like this country's 900 other electric cooperatives, FKEC
holds an Annual Meeting for its members every spring. The meeting serves as a
forum to share the previous year's financial and business reports and to keep
members informed of progress in various power system upgrades and developments.
