Brooke Alana moved to the Keys from Wyoming when she was 16 years old.
"The thing I most like about living in the Keys is the beautiful weather," says Alana. "After growing up in Wyoming I don't ever want to go back to the cold."

Lucy Miranda grew up in New England. When asked about the region, Miranda said the first things that came to mind were, "Go Patriots!" and "cold, very cold!" She now lives in Key Colony Beach and enjoys its natural beauty, serenity and friendly neighbors.

Kim Jones was born in New York but her family moved to Key West when she was only three years old. When she was six, they moved again to the Upper Keys.
"I like to visit New York for the shopping and Broadway shows, but I consider the Florida Keys my home," Jones said.

Dave Wojtaszek is the proud father of two boys and husband to wife Kelly. He is originally from Pittsburgh, and when asked what it was like there he said, "Lots of Iron City Beer and Steelers parties."
Dave now enjoys the clean air, water and tropical climate here in the Keys.

Maria Jones was born in Michigan but her family lived in Pembroke Pines before moving to the Upper Keys in 1983. Her husband Ronnie was one of the first people she met when she moved here as a teenager.

Chris Pankow migrated to the Keys in 1986 from Indiana. He worked in banking for 28 years before he "lucked out" (as he says) and found a position at FKEC in Marathon.
Together, Pankow and his wife Denise are deeply involved in the Marathon community.

Jason Heller's family moved to the Keys when he was 10 and he doesn't plan on leaving.
"I like the environment, fresh air, clean water, warm weather and safe communities," he said. "I also like the good-hearted people who live here."

Bernie Lietaert grew up in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, near Detroit and is from a family of 14 children with 10 boys and four girls. His parents and one brother have passed but he says the rest of his family is "healthy wealthy and wise." He also says he has a lot of cool nieces and nephews.
