Meet Brooke Alana...

Brooke Alana moved to the Keys from Wyoming when she was 16 years old.

"The thing I most like about living in the Keys is the beautiful weather," says Alana. "After growing up in Wyoming I don't ever want to go back to the cold."

Brooke and her husband Kanahou have a beautiful daughter, Malia. With a big smile on her face, Brooke states, "Malia is the love of my life."

She also has two dogs, a boxer and an English bulldog puppy. Alana is a self-proclaimed dog lover and often dog sits for fellow employees and friends.

This month she is looking forward to her parents' return to the Keys. "I can't wait to have them back," she says. "They have been in Oregon for the last three years and I miss them dearly." Alana's father previously worked at FKEC.

In April, Alana will celebrate three years with the Co-op. She began as a General Office Clerk and soon after was promoted to Receptionist. In 2006, she was promoted to Consumer Accounts Representative.

"I love working at FKEC and enjoy spending time with my co-workers," says Alana. "I look forward to progressing in the company, and I will probably stay until retirement."

Alana also attends Florida Keys Community Collage part-time and plans to earn an Associate's Degree.
