Pinder was selected for the award not only for performing in his position at
the company, but also for willingly offering his expertise and assistance in
countless other ways.
"In addition to fulfilling his duties as Fleet and Building Maintenance
Supervisor, Jack has dedicated countless hours to selflessly helping his
co-workers, volunteering for community fund-raisers, and cooking for both
big and small company events, including FKEC's Annual Meetings," said CEO
Tim Planer.
Pinder was nominated by his fellow employees and selected for the award
based on: outstanding service to FKEC, community service, daily
performance, attitude, personal growth, safety record and loyalty.
"Although nominees do not need to meet every one of these criteria, Jack was
selected as the first recipient because he does," Planer said. "Jack teaches
the 'cooperative way' by providing a good example to everyone around him."
At work, Pinder also volunteered to become a Certified CPR and First Aid
Instructor and earned the training to become the only third-party commercial
drivers license tester in Monroe County.
Pinder joined FKEC 26 years ago. He began as a mechanic working in the Fleet
Department but was soon promoted to lead that department. He was recently
promoted again to Supervisor of Fleet and Building Maintenance.
A true "Conch," Jack is a member of the founding Pinder family. He and his
wife Teresa have two daughters and a son.
