Florida Keys Electric Cooperative congratulates Manager of Special Projects Carl Paul on achieving 44 years of dedicated service to FKEC and his community. He is FKEC's longest-standing Marathon area employee and is FKEC's second most senior employee company-wide.

Paul joined FKEC in Marathon as a Groundman on the Line Crew in 1961. He then earned his way from Apprentice Lineman to become a Journeyman Lineman in three years. He was later promoted to Assistant Foreman, Line Foreman, Marathon Area Supervisor and then Superintendent of Distribution. As Superintendent of Distribution, he oversaw the company's power distribution system in the Upper and Middle Keys for 16 years.

A Marathon native and graduate of Marathon High School, Paul now works as Manager of Special Projects in Marathon. He also serves on FKEC's Safety Committee and is the committee's former Director. Paul's father, Irvin C. Paul, worked for FKEC in Marathon for 33 years.

"FKEC appreciates the decades that Carl has dedicated to FKEC and to our members," said CEO Tim Planer. "His historical perspective on the company's facilities, power system and overall growth is irreplaceable."
