First State Bank thanked Florida Keys Electric Cooperative employees for quickly and safely restoring power after Hurricane Wilma by providing breakfast in Tavernier and lunch in Marathon for FKEC employees.
First State Upper & Middle Keys Regional President Bette Brown and Key Largo Branch Manager Heber Paulin delivered donuts, pastries, orange juice, and other assorted breakfast treats to FKEC's Tavernier Operations and Business offices along with a thank you card.
Later the same day, Brown and First State Business Development Officer Marcy Tangen expressed their thanks with a pizza lunch for FKEC's Marathon Operations office and Generation Facility.
"This is one small way we can show our appreciation to FKEC's employees for their extra efforts in restoring power to Marathon and the Upper Keys," said Brown. "I believe it is not just FSB that appreciates their efforts, but I think we speak for the Middle and Upper Keys communities when we say 'thank you' to FKEC."
