Founded and organized by FKEC Journeyman Lineman John Kornetti, the camp offered young players an opportunity to train like professional football players.
NFL professional and Marathon High School Alumni Tony Bryant participated in the camp with Joe Struyf, graduate of Florida International University (F.I.U.) and previous F.I.U. tight end. Both Marathon High School Alumni volunteered their time and returned to their hometown to participate in the camp for the fourth year. Struyf also enlisted his F.I.U. co-players to help coach the camp for the children.
"Thanks to the support of our community, and FKEC, this year's camp was another success," Kornetti said. "This camp continues to be a great opportunity for our children and we hope more kids take advantage of the camp next year."
In addition to the support of FKEC, the camp also benefitted from the generosity of Coconut Cay Resort, Quiznos Subs in Marathon, Louie Gonzolazes, Sparky's Landing and the Marathon community.
