FKEC to Hold Lighting Ceremony at Marathon Office on Friday, Dec. 5, at 6 p.m.

Florida Keys Electric Cooperative's Marathon Office invites co-op members and the public to its annual lighting ceremony on Friday, December 5 at 6 p.m.

FKEC's Marathon employees once again created a glittering centerpiece in the middle of Marathon with their outstanding holiday lights display.

The annual lighting ceremony includes a big countdown and a giant light switch for the children to pull.

FKEC has also invited Santa and Mrs. Claus to arrive on a fire truck and then hand out candy canes to the children.

FKEC's Marathon employees designed and decorated the facility's light show which will once again feature a variety of lighted and animated sea creatures created by Ken Elgersma. The flying fish display features a sequence with fish that jump and splash in a burst of blue lights.
