HOLLAND RE-ELECTED TO FKEC BOARD REPRESENTING KEY LARGO

Florida Keys Electric Cooperative announces that incumbent board Vice President Gretchen Holland has been re-elected for another three-year term on FKEC's Board of Directors in today's election for District 1, Key Largo. Thomas Dillon opposed Holland for the seat.
Polls were open in District 1 at the Key Largo Lion's Club at mile marker 100 and at the Ocean Reef Academy at 395 South Harbor Drive from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Holland received 418 votes and Dillon received 102 votes of the total 520 votes cast. Holland was re-elected according to FKEC bylaws.
Holland was originally appointed to the board in 1999, elected in 2000, and then re-elected in 2003, 2006 and 2009. She was elected board vice president in 2005. Holland is a Credentialed Cooperative Director and has earned her Board Leadership Certificate.
