Coronavirus: How FKEC Can Serve You Safely

Like the rest of the world, Florida Keys Electric Cooperative (FKEC) is closely monitoring the growing concern surrounding Coronavirus (COVID-19). As the situation unfolds, we will adjust our modes of operation and services to protect the health and safety of our members and employees.

FKEC Office Access

At this time, our Tavernier and Marathon offices are open. However, please do not enter the building or use our drive-through if you have been exposed to COVID-19 or have any symptoms (cough, fever, shortness of breath)! We are happy to help all members over the phone (305) 852-2431 or via our website.

By Phone

Our office staff is available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and an emergency operator is on call 24 hours at (305) 852-2431.

Our Secure Phone Payment System is available 24 hours, 7 days as week at (855) 385-9912.

Online

Following the social distancing recommendations of the CDC, we highly recommend FKEC members use our online services. Almost any service you can do in person, you can do online. For example:

  • Pay your bill
  • Manage your account
  • Start/Stop/Transfer service
  • Check our live outage map
  • File a tree trim request
  • Update your contact info
  • Access our services like surge protection, rebates, and Solar Loan
  • And much more!

In the beginning of March, we launched an improved website making it even easier to use our online services. If you haven’t visited our website, there has never been a better time.

Drive-Throughs

The drive-throughs at both our Tavernier and Marathon offices are available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please do note use an FKEC drive-through if you have been exposed to COVID-19 or have any symptoms!

FKEC’s Commitment

FKEC is committed to being an influential community partner and proud to be the hometown electric cooperative of the Upper and Middle Keys. Since our inception in 1940, together we’ve overcome any challenge that has faced our community, and this situation will be no different. Please know, during times of concern and crisis, we remain dedicated to serving this community. The safety of our members and employees is paramount.
