Florida Keys Electric Cooperative is proud to celebrate 10 years of our Annual Energy-Saving Tree Giveaway, offered in partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation. Over the past decade, FKEC members have helped plant nearly 3,000 trees across the Upper and Middle Keys — adding shade, beauty, and energy savings throughout our community.
FKEC members can reserve one free native tree through a simple online process that uses GIS technology to display a satellite image of your home and help identify the best location to plant your tree for maximum energy-saving shade. Trees are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis, so reserve yours now.
Pick-up days are:
Tuesday, March 24 in Marathon from 4:00-6:00PM
Wednesday, March 25 in Tavernier from 4:00-6:00PM.
